Use Evernote to help you win the day.

Very few, if any, of the top achievers in this world wake up and just go about their day. What most of them do is follow a predetermined morning routine. Win the morning, win the day!

Evernote morning routine

Let Evernote help you win your morning.

You have one shot at your morning – don’t let it get away from you.

Evernote is a wonderfully flexible tool. I’ve use it to help me conquer my morning routine. You can really use all of Evernote’s built in features to your advantage.

Take a look at this post for an in depth look at my morning routine.

I have a few major parts of my morning routine:

  • Exercise
  • Reading
  • Affirmations
  • Meditation
  • Journaling

Here’s a few of the tool’s within Evernote that I like to use:

  • Checklists
  • Tag system
  • Uploading PDF’s
  • Creating a Note
  • Reminders
  • Shortcuts

The Big Picture;

  • Checklists – When you are first starting out with a morning routine I think it smart to make a checklist up of everything you want to do.
  • Tags – Create a Morning Routine tag. Tag everything related to your routine.
  • Shortcut’s – Save your routine checklist in the shortcut menu. This way you have easy access to it in the morning.
  • Reminders – Set a reminder to do your morning routine.

Exercise – My favorite part of my routine. I might have my training schedule saved as PDF and tagged with Morning Routine. I also might have videos or links to exercises in my notes that I want to reference.

Reading – I sometimes save articles or PDF’s to Evernote that I want to read or review. The web clipper is an awesome tool. I tag them with ?read/review tag so I can find them later.

Affirmations – I have a great PDF for Hal Elrod – Miracle Morning saved that I have used for my affirmations. I’ve since written my own and just saved them as a note in Evernote. You read these out loud everyday.

Meditation – Store your notes on your mantras in Evernotes. Maybe you have some links to videos or a website that can help you do a  guided meditation.

Journaling – Evernote was made for writing notes! Use a tag something like “journal entry” and type away. If you want to follow a template than I would copy and paste from a “template note” into a new note.

I find Evernote to be useful for just about anything that you would want to do on regular or repeatable basis. With it’s built in checklist sand flexible tag system you can set it up in any number of ways.
