Notes are meant to not only be a record of what was discussed but also meant to record actions to be done. This is the key to using the Action Method Products.

When you leave a meeting here’s the 3 things the Action Method products will leave you with:

  • Actions Steps
  • Reference Items
  • Backburner Items

Each of these items has three own distinct areas for capturing.

AM-AP

1.) Action Steps – List out your action steps here. This makes processing very easy since your tasks are broken out from the there areas. Sometime I leave a meeting and just use this as a guide to what tasks I need to be working on. I may have a simple task such as email John Doe item X. In this case I might do it right then and there. If it’s a more complicated task I will enter it into my task manger. If I’m pressed for time the sheet goes into my inbox to be processed later.
2.) Reference Items – You can record items here or use it to sketch out ideas. The dot grid is really nice and visible enough to be useful but fads our enough to not be distracting.
3.) Backburner Items – There is an area for backburner items. These are items that may not be actionable now but possibly sometime in the future. These will go into my task manager for later reference.
P.) Preparation – The upper left hand corner is used for preparation. You can jot down your agenda fr the meeting here.

Another nice feature is they offer several products that a single sheet can easily be torn off. This is useful for scanning the notes – I scan all my notes for on the go reference. I store them in Evernote.

I found the paper to be very high quality and very little bleed through depending on what type of pen you are using.

The Action Pad offers pre-punched holes with a perforated strip for easy removal. This is one of my favorite tools.

You have a few color options for the task area. I usually go with the blue color.
