I love PDF’s! I have a great system to use PDF’s on all my devices. It makes life so easy to be able to see my annotations and notes other mark ups on my PDF’s anywhere I am.
The PDF have finally become a fully Portable Document File!
PDF’s seem like an industry standard now. I was struggling with a way to mark them up and carry them on my iPhone/iPad. I finally found PDF expert and what it does it does really well.
I finally found a good PDF reader for the iPad but one issue plagued me from day one. It didn’t have a very good sync feature. However the UI was great. Well one day I over wrote a file and that was it. I lost all my notes for that file. It happened so fast I was almost in disbelief. I knew I needed something different.
I looked at a bunch of programs and here was my criteria:
- Sync – it had to sync across my devices and a way to view it on the desktop would be nice.
- Evernote – It needed to work with Evernote.
- Annotations – I wanted ample methods to annotate and highlight.
I settled on PDF Expert. Here’s why:
- Sync – It really does sync across everything. I setup up a dropbox folder and all the file are stored there. This means anywhere I have access to dropbox I have access to my files. Also if for some reason PDF expert has an issue I still have my files.
- Evernote – I can open and save any document to Evernote. Once I marked up my PDF I file it in Evernote.
- Annotations – The has a vast array of tools for marking up the PDF. I much prefer to have my notes digitally than on a hard copy.
- Sign – You can digitally sign PDF document. This is very handy when signing proposals on the go.
- PDF Review Mode – If you do a lot of revisions to PDF’s than this feature is worth it. You can modify the actual text in your PDF and hit the preview button to review your changes.
PDF Expert is not just a great app it’s part of a system for using PDF’s. This app adds a lot of flexibility when using PDF’s I highly recommend you check it out.
