It’s that time of year again and most companies and people are setting goals for 2015. For most people the most they can muster is a new year’s resolution but unfortunately that is not the same as a goal. Goal setting is a process.
It’s proven those who have written goals accomplish more than those who do not.
Every goal needs to be a SMART goal.
S-Specific: Don’t be vague! State exactly what you want to accomplish be as specific as you can.
M – Measurable: You need a method to demonstrate how you achieved the goal.
A – Achievable: You need to challenge yourself and stretch here but keep it within the realm of achievable (with a push) for yourself.
R – Relevant: How does the goal align itself with your overall vision and objectives. It shouldn’t be from left field.
T – Time Bond: Set a deadline.
