Seamless – that’s what we want. We want all our apps to play nice with each and to have all our stuff in one spot. Evernote now allows you to link to your Google Drive documents.
It’s great to see developers moving towards integration it makes for an even user experience.
There was a time when I had to think about where to place a document.
I’ve been using Evernote for years now. I use it throughout the day and having Google Docs integrated will be a huge time saver for most people.
I applaud companies like Evernote that want to integrate with other apps. It’s nice to have the ability to store all you notes and documents in one spot.
I think this mentality just make products even stronger.
Using Google Docs within Evernote is easy:
- Open up a note
- Click in the body of the note.
- A tool bar will pop up.
- In the toolbar you will see a Google Drive symbol.
- When you click on it you can insert a document from Google Docs
Your Google Drive doc will have a link inserted into your Evernote note. When you click the link it will open up the Google Drive doc and allow you to edit it.
I found it a bit tedious to find my Google docs so in =the case use the search feature was the best method I found.
Now if Evernote can do this with One Drive it would cover all my bases.
Let’s talk more about this on Twitter.
